This depends on your skin type and texture, if you have very sensitive skin or a damaged skin barrier begin by using the brush 1-2 times per week. For the exfoliating side use once per week. Increase use gradually as tolerance increases. For normal skin types limit use of the exfoliating side to 3 times per week and the cleansing side to 5 times per week

In short, yes, any form of exfoliation may damage the skin barrier. However the skin barrier is only disrupted where exfoliation is done too often, too aggressively, or with a low quality device. Using a high quality facial brush such as the Cleo+ 2-4 times per week depending on your skin sensitivity carries minimal risk and will leave you with a softer, brighter and deeply cleansed complexion

After use, rinse with water and fragrance free soap. As it is fast drying it does not tend to harbor much bacteria - but every few weeks use an alcohol wipe to clean the brush head for ultimate hygiene.
